Meghan's Journal (VI) - Saturday, 16 October 1999
I never have anything to write about in this thing except "practice went well" or "my team needs to get their arses in gear" so it's a good thing I keep losing this all over my flat because that time would be better spent. Pubs are definitely on the list of approved activities for "better spent time", under practice and sex, of course.

Drinking alone is no fun. Anyone up for joining me?

Come on, you know you want to, it's got to be better than reading the paper.

[Private to self]
Godric, I have to pull myself together. Mum's already at me for losing the heart of my game, even if she is bleeding wrong. I'm the same person I always was, better now that it's active season again. Nothing has changed me. It was a fling like any other, it just lasted longer and made me do things differently for a short while. Temporary insanity, that's all.

I mis I DO NOT MISS HIM. I DO NOT NEED TO SEE HIM. I need the life I've always had. The life I want.

then why can't I bring anyone past my front door when I let them take me home?

Mum is experiencing deterioration of her faculties in her old age, that's all.
